For the last twenty years Liverpudlian avant-garde group a.P.A.t.T. have been messing with the pop form, chaotically butchering notions of the Popular with great humour. Their latest record, We, is an adventurous collection of passing thoughts, barely laughable references, pop songs and sonic experiments.
Sculpture
London outfit Sculpture have quietly been building a reputation as one of the capital’s best live bands. The band’s art-rock compositions are adorned by saxophone, clarinet and cello, and evoke the intricacy of the likes of These New Puritans and Caroline. The band’s debut EP Lichtenburg Figure was released in 2023.
